USC’s Triumph at Club France During the Games
September 26th 2024
The Union Sport & Cycle (USC) has solidified its position as the leading professional organization in the sports and cycling sector with its exceptional presence at Club France during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hosting 17 thematic events and welcoming over 2,000 personalities, USC showcased its extensive expertise and influence.
A Bold Presence at Club France
Being present at Club France, where all French medal-winning athletes were celebrated, was a bold move by USC’s board, given the initial uncertainties surrounding the Games. USC reserved a 50m² space in the Forum des Sports, the institutional zone of Club France, to engage its members, partners, and institutional relations from within the event.
Phenomenal Success and Engagement
Riding on the phenomenal success of Club France, which attracted over 600,000 visitors during the Olympics alone, USC organized 17 thematic events and hosted more than 2,000 personalities, including members, partners, politicians, media, and Olympic medalists. The ambitious program covered key topics such as the prospects for the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps, the role of fitness companies in sports and health, climate change risks for the industry, and the future of synthetic turf and active cities.
Several USC thematic commissions (innovation & foresight, outdoor sports, social & training, running/trail, mountain sports) also met at Club France. These meetings allowed USC to shine while celebrating the Games and enjoying impromptu visits from freshly medaled athletes.
Looking Ahead: Legacy of the Games
To close this enchanting chapter at Club France 2024, USC held its Congress on September 5, focusing on the legacy of the Games. Over 200 professionals and decision-makers from the sports and cycling sector discussed the socio-economic and sports practice legacy of the Paris 2024 Games.
USC aims to build on this legacy to continue its mission as the voice of companies in the sports, leisure, cycling, and active mobility sectors.
