Philippe Wagner's PGI Morteau sausage is made with the finest ingredients. Our regional recipe, which is nitrite-free, and its slow natural smoking process, using resinous wood, give it its typical colour. It is embossed by hand and made from the best whey-fed pig meat, mainly from Haute-Saône.
Once cooked, one appreciates first of all the beautiful amber colour of its robe, its subtle perfume. When cut, its thick grain, its soft, juicy and bound texture. The absence of added nitrite explains its pale grey colour: a natural colour of cooked meat. In the mouth, rediscover the delicate and fragrant taste of a Morteau sausage prepared with all the know-how of a traditional butcher.
