Who are we

Atelier Maury is specialized in gilded wood and polychrome decor and has been involved in many restoration and design projects. Their world-renowned expertise is based on the mastery of all traditional gilding and polychromy techniques: gilding techniques (tempera, mixtion and gelatin gilding, eglomized glass), decorative painting (glue paint, oil glazes, varnishes, etc.), faux materials (faux wood, faux marble, faux tortoiseshell, etc.). One of their best-known innovations is Toile de Laque, a patented product, mastered and manufactured exclusively by Atelier Maury in Paris. The initial objective was to meet a demand for a lacquered effect without the need for heavy on-site installations. Atelier Maury created a painted and varnished canvas, imitating the visual and tactile effect of traditional lacquer, while remaining flexible enough to be rolled and shipped.
