MAISON ADRIEN VACHER

Who are we

Adrien Vacher created his company in 1950. At the time, he was one of the first to sell bottled wines because until then they were sold in barrels. Only 4 years after the creation of the company, it was his daughter Josette and his son-in-law Henri Gayet, who took over the company and developed it consistently while working for the recognition of Savoie wines in AOC, obtained in 1973. Charles-Henri GAYET joined the company in 1979 and took over from his father as manager in 1989 with the desire to develop production even further upstream. He has been setting up solid partnerships with around sixty Savoyard winegrowers for more than 30 years for the purchase of grapes, must and finished wine. The objective is to master the complete process: harvesting, pressing, vinification, bottling and distribution. On the other hand, he took over the exploitation of the Domaine du Château de la Violette in 2000 and the Domaine Charles Gonnet in 2018 on a total of fifty hectares to better control the work of the vine upstream.
