CHÂTEAU DE LA GRANGE

Who are we

The Château de la Grange Barbastre, also called Château de la Grange, belongs the Goulaine family since 1777. The estate is located 35km in the South of Nantes in the Loire Valley. The current property owner Baudouin de Goulaine took over the estate in 1981 and extended it. His son Victor joined him and they worked together for few years in a pure family tradition. End 2020 Baudouin retired and was proud to pass this wonderful estate to his son Victor de Goulaine. The 50 hectares vines of the Château de la Grange are planted on slopes facing South South-East and the vines develop on siliceous-clay soils. We produce Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu AOP on 20 hectares, Gros Plant du Pays Nantais AOP (on 6 hectares), and IGP wines (on 24 hectares), such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Gamay, Grolleau, Merlot, Pinot Gris but also Colombard. This allows us to offer a wide range of different products among which also blends of 2 grapes varieties for example Pinot Gris-Sauvignon (semi sweet), Gamay-Merlot (red or rosé) and Colombard-Folle Blanche. Export represent 20% of our sales and we are willing to continue developing and creating durable business relationships with our foreign customers.
