Who are we
In 1932, Gilberte & André JACQUES, settled in Baye, in the Coteaux du Petit Morin. They decide to plant their first vineyard. In 1962, Gisèle & Yves JACQUES continued to expand the estate and create the brand. In 1982, Valérie & Rémi JACQUES took over the family business and continuing the expansion of the estate with new terroirs. Virginie & Quentin as well as Pauline & Bastien are the custodians of the family heritage and the know-how of their ancestors. Over the generations, our estate has expanded to reach 17 hectares in the Marne Valley, the Côte des Blancs, the Aube in the municipalities of Sézanne, Baye and also Aÿ and Chouilly, classified Grand Cru. Our vineyard is planted with three Champagne grape varieties in almost equal shares (Meunier (37%), Chardonnay (32%) & Pinot Noir (31%). As an Independent Winegrower, managing the vines represents for us the first and most important oenological act. No good wines without good grapes. At Champagne Yves JACQUES, the vine is cultivated in a careful and sustainable way. In 2021, we decided to formalize these numerous efforts through dual certification: Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) and High Environmental Value (HVE). Our Champagne are produced in Baye in our winery with respect of traditionnal methods. We suggest you a range of Champagne retracing the story of the family through an exploration of our terroirs !
