Avril Group was created in 1983 on the initiative of the agricultural world in order to develop sustainable outlets for French oilseed crops, particularly rapeseed and sunflower. In 35 years, Avril has become a major agro-industrial and financial group, becoming the 4th largest French food-processing group with a €5.8 billion turnover in 2020. It is present in France and internationally in sectors as diverse as human food, animal nutrition, renewable energies and chemistry, through a portfolio of strong brands, leaders in their markets. Founded in 1908 by Georges Lesieur, Lesieur is a subsidiary of the Avril group. Our historical know-how positions us as the leader in the oil market in France and as the 3rd national brand in the market with our mayonnaises made from free-range eggs. Thanks to our well known French culinary expertise and as a subsidiary of the Avril Group, we are particularly invested in the challenges of innovations and the quality of our products.
