Who are we

The Meyre family, Médoc winegrowers for 6 generations, have been able to extend and perpetuate the family business. Julien and Nathalie, now at the helm of the properties and drawing on their respective experiences, bring dynamism and renewal. It is quite naturally that the work is done as a family, in a reasoned agriculture certified HVE 2 and HVE 3. A family property since 1810, Château Cap Léon Veyrin originated from the union of Château Cap Léon and the Veyrin estate. Cap comes from the word “head”. Indeed, the Cap Léon vineyard is located on the highest points of Listrac-Médoc, thus favoring natural drainage and ideal sunshine. Nathalie and Julien Meyre, are the 6th generation of the family running this property, perpetuating the tradition: predominance of Merlot, egg white fining, aging for 12 months in barrels, manual harvesting for young plots and for old vines, while bringing today their dynamism to this renowned superior cru bourgeois. Château Julien property in Haut Médoc inherited in 1985 by Maryse Meyre the mother of Julien and Nathalie, born in Cussac Fort Médoc. The vines located on gravelly marls benefit from a very beautiful exposure, producing ample and fruity wines with harmonious tannins, everything that makes the reputation of Haut Médoc wines. Nathalie and Julien now operate this 15-hectare property. Château Bibian is one of the oldest Listrac Médoc vineyards, already Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 1932. This château has belonged to the Bibian family for several generations when it was bought in 1999 by the Meyre family. This charming superior bourgeois cru appealed to the Meyre family with its very extensive vineyards in the town, allowing them to benefit from all the terroirs of the Listrac Médoc appellation and also by the majority of old vines giving this wine the typicality of the great wines of the appellation. Nathalie and Julien operate this 20-hectare property by combining traditional methods and modern techniques.
