Who are we

https://havion-distillerie.com/ In the early 1980s, my grandfather, Jean-Claude Havion, had the opportunity to take over the Damblat Armagnac house in the Gers, for which he worked. He created the Vasconia company and gave it and its Armagnac a national and international reputation. He worked with two of his sons, Samuel (my father) and Lionel (my uncle), who took up the torch after his death and perpetuated the know-how and tradition. Samuel, the cellar master, was passionate about ageing brown spirits and began to age several batches of rums, playing with different blends and different types of cask. Today, my father and I are embarking on the adventure of distilling gin and whisky here in Vieux-Boucau-les-bains, between the ocean and the forest. But neither he nor I have forgotten where we come from, and we'll be continuing the work of ageing and blending your favourite spirits. Our plan is to use our family know-how and imagination to create unique products, while adding a personal touch inspired by our beloved region of Gascony. Between the land, the mountains and the ocean, the region is a compendium of raw nature, magnificent landscapes, but above all, a region with a deeply rooted culture, both festive and culinary.
