Who are we

A family-run house established in Charente- Maritime since the 18th century, the Vallet family has been passing down exceptional expertise in the production of distinctive spirits for several generations. Our mission is to celebrate the local terroirs by crafting and selecting exceptional grape-based spirits, while our challenge is to perpetuate and promote an independent family tradition of expertise in the world of fine spirits. Chateau Montifaud, with a vineyard covering 160 hectares, is the Vallet family’s historic brand of cognac and pineau des Charentes. The family vineyard is situated on exceptional terroirs, mostly in Petite Champagne. Laurent and Élodie carry on a unique family tradition, passed down for over 160 years. A range of authentic and limited Haute Couture cognacs: limited editions, vintages, and the family’s very old reserves. Pierre Vallet is the Vallet family’s exploratory cognac brand. The finest eaux-de-vie from the region are selected by Laurent Vallet and then blended with the family’s treasures. Drawing on eight generations of experience and expertise, Laurent continues the passion for blending first cultivated by his grandfather, Pierre Vallet. A range of artisanal and creative cognacs: exclusive editions, multi-vintage blends, cask-finished expressions. Osmoz is the Vallet family’s distilled gin brand. Artisan winemakers at heart, the family crafts a grape-based gin with the aim of exploring every facet of the fruit, its richness, suppleness and complexity. Osmoz gin is crafted to be in perfect harmony with the roots of cognac and the family’s heritage. A range of gins in tune with market expectations: two permanent references as well as original limited editions aged in Cognac and Pineau des Charentes casks.
