Who are we

Independent and owner since 1866, the VALLET family is proud of its origins and relies on several generations of experience (6 generations) and know-how to sublimate its terroirs by producing Haute-Couture spirits. Château Montifaud is today a vineyard covering almost 150 hectares, located on exceptional terroirs (Petite and Grande Champagne), with a fully controlled production from the vine to bottling and marketing. A family business on a human scale, we market two brands of cognac, Pineau des Charentes and a brand of gin in France and abroad (over 45 countries). Pierre Vallet Cognac : The year is 1878 and phylloxera is wreaking havoc in the Charente vineyards, particularly in the family vineyard. But rather than cut back, Pierre VALLET (2nd generation) made the heavy decision to sell a large part of his stocks that his father, Augustin and himself had carefully built up. Thanks to these sales, and to the unconditional support of his brother Pierre-Gustave, Pierre was able to survive and replant the family vineyard, but unfortunately without a single brandy in stock. Faced with this terrible observation, Pierre and his son Maurice, set out : in search of “treasures” throughout the Charente countryside. They selected very beautiful eaux-de-vie there, which they then married with subtlety to theirs. Thus, were born the first “Pierre VALLET” blends! OSMOZ Gin : Artisans-Vinegrowers in the soul, innovation is at the heart of our thinking. Although very attached to our traditions and our family culture, today we have decided to explore gin in new ways to spice up and flavor your cocktails with an original, unique and local touch. Entirely made and distilled from raisins, they are above all faithful to our values and our appreciation of eaux-de-vie. Combining modernity and tradition, we have thus selected six characteristic aromas from our cognac collections. Linden, apple, liquorice, apricot, almond and clove are omnipresent in our creations. Our gins have been designed to be in perfect harmony with our Cognac legacy and family roots.
