EARL DOMAINE DE LA THEBAIDE
Who are we
Château la Thébaïde has been a family affair for 5 generations, belonging to the Raynaud family and covering 40 hectares. It all started in 1890, the grandfathers practiced breeding as well as working in the olive groves and vineyards. At the beginning of the 20th century, the great-grandfather, Justin Raynaud, refocused on the vineyard with his grandfather Monier Firmin to develop it. Claude Raynaud joined the family business in the 1960s. In the 80's, Daniel, takes over, he buys plots of land on the Plan de Dieu and on Sablet to continue to develop the business. It is in the 2010s that Mathieu, Daniel's son, joins the domain, he will also bring his share in the company by buying vines on Sablet and Gigondas to continue to develop this beautiful exploitation. The idea of creating the Château la Thébaïde brand was born in 2015 when Guillaume and Daniel arrived. After some development work, the first wine of the domain is ective in 2016. In 2019, the estate will convert its operation to the HVE label, which has already been applied to sustainable agriculture since its creation.
