DOMAINES TATIN
Who are we
Created by Chantal Wilk and Jean Tatin 30 years ago and taken over by Maroussia in 2013, with a team of ten people, we cultivate 38 ha of Quincy and Reuilly, two AOPs of the Loire Valley Center, and produce 250,000 to 300,000 bottles a year. * Historic cradle of Sauvignon Blanc, the vineyard of Quincy is planted with 350 ha. Our 11 plots of vines are spread over both sandy gravel and clayey gravel, with a zest on lake limestones between Brinay and Quincy. This terroir of graves gives Quincy its originality as a vineyard of the Loire Center. * Reuilly is planted on 300 ha of vines, half in Sauvignon Blanc, ¼ in Pinot Noir for reds and ¼ in Pinot Gris for rosés. If they are also wearing sandy gravel, the Reuilly hills are predominantly clay-calcareous. We cultivate five plots on Preuilly and Reuilly, planted with massal selections in Sauvignon to keep the genetic diversity of this variety. * Our viticulture is part of the reasoned approach TerraVitis (weed vines to balance vigor and limit yields, soils mechanically worked, no anti-botrytis, respect and maintenance of biodiversity). In order to identify the taste characteristics linked to the terroir of each plot, they are harvested and vinified separately. Sometimes assembled to improve the balance of taste, sometimes isolated to make you discover their characteristics, this is how we develop local wines.
