Who are we
Domaine Ricardelle de lautrec is a family estate is located in the south of France, in the heart of the Languedoc Roussillon region, is established at the crossroads of the Minervois, Clape and Corbières terroirs and is a pioneer in organic wine in the Languedoc. Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec is located in a landscape marked by history: the Via Domitia - the ancient Roman road - runs along our 50ha of vineyards. Since 1999, Lionel Boutié, representative of the fourth generation of winegrowers, has chosen organic farming. With Cathy, they ensure the respect of the environment, following an approach that combines quality and freshness. The domain can count on the terroir to give them back this investment: indeed, there are no less than ten grape varieties on their land! They range from pinot noir to cabernet sauvignon, through syrah and muscat à petits grains, a richness that gives birth to a nice palette of wines. Since January 2021 we have started our conversion to Biodynamic farming and our 2022 harvest will be certified DEMETER. We are also developing a range of natural wine and Pet Nat, certified by the union Vin Méthode Nature to which we do not add any input. The sulfites present are those naturally created by the wine. Our natural wine is made from grapes grown in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. This allows us to preserve all the natural flavors and original aromas of the grapes. Our guiding principle: Using the natural elements that surrounds us. We treat the plants by the plants. Organic and biodynamic practices imply the use of agricultural methods that respect the environment, which includes composting and the use of biodynamic preparations that we dynamize with rainwater. Biodynamics goes further by including agricultural practices based on energetic and cosmic principles. This is what allows us to take care of the well-being of our land. Choosing an organic wine means choosing a healthy product that respects the environment. It is to taste a wine of superior quality, with authentic flavors, while supporting sustainable agriculture. Working in organic and biodynamic agriculture is above all a way of being. It is the respect of the earth, the animals and the people. It is to become aware that we are part of a whole. It is the symbiosis of natural elements that creates balance and harmony for everything.
