Who are we

Situated in the heart of the Medoc and the terroirs of Moulis and Margaux, the estate has been listed since 1876 among the first Crus of Avensan. We are classified Cru Bourgeois since 1932. Thanks to the owner and the visionary teams, we committed ourselves to the sustainable agriculture in 2008, and obtained the organic certification in 2011. In 2020, the new classification made the wines of Château Meyre enter the very closed circle of the Cru Bourgeois Superior. This title rewards all the work done over the years in keeping with our values, commitments, and passion. We wanted the chateau, a 3-star hotel, to reflect a large family home. Our objective has been to keep the authenticity of the place in order to offer the chateau lifestyle , the French art de vivre throughout the seasons. The library lounge has been preserved and you can enjoy the fireplace, as did Paul Bocuse or Gaston Lenôtre, the convivial dining room with its large black marble table to enjoy breakfast and we have refurbished the loved rose garden of Colette Lenôtre, where you can admire the park and the vineyards while enjoying a glass of our wines. Here, everything is made for you can take the time, the time to rest, to relax.
