CHAMPAGNE BERNARD GONET

Who are we

The story begins in 1982, when Bernard Gonet settles down on the “Côte des Bar” with a few ares of vines. Since then, our vineyard has grown up over 8 hectares. Today, Bernard has given away to Louis and Alban, his sons, who, driven by the same love of the vines, have taken the keys of familial vineyard. Our vines are planted on hillsides with clay-limestone soil, in the south of Champagne in the “Côte des Bar”. Thus, the terroir favors the balance between the sweetness and the acidity of the grapes, giving the champagne all its elegance. Our fragmented plots are mainly composed of Pinot Noir, giving character to our wines and Chardonnay, bringing the necessary elegance for the elaboration of our champagnes. As winegrowers, we are entirely dependent on our environment and with pride we are committed to preserving it. This is why we cultivate our vines in a responsible and sustainable way. Since 2020, our vineyard has been certified VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) and HVE (High Environmental Value), progress initiatives aimed at respecting health, biodiversity and the environment to preserve and enhance our terroir and our landscapes.
