DOMAINE LES SIBU
Who are we
Domaine les SIBU is a family-run vineyard located in Sablet, a small village in Vaucluse, a southern region of France. Our vineyard started its first year of organic conversion with the 2020 vintage and will be certified organic from the 2023 harvest. We produce Côtes-du-Rhône Village Sablet, Gigondas and, since 2021, Vacqueyras, all of which possess a unique flavour. Our wines have been awarded many times, apart from being certified HVE since 2019. For instance, our Red Gigondas 2018 has been rated 94/100 by Joe Czerwinski, “The Wine advocate”, and our Red Sablet has been described as a “splendid wine” by Robert Petronio in the French wine review, while our White Sablet 2020 received a 15/20 score by the 'Terres de vin' review. Moreover, we have been rewarded for our wines by winning several medals (Orange contest, Guide Hachette des vins...) by being mentioned in some magazines (Le Point, Revue des vins de France...) and by getting rated by famous wine journalists: Jeb Dunnuck, Jancis Robinson, Matt Walls among many others. With the aim of making a wine that reflects the terroir as much as possible and transmitting an ancestral know-how, in 2015, Loïc, the winemaker, proceeded with the very first vinification in the vineyard’s history. In 2017, he decided to build a cellar in order to fully manage the conception of his wine. His vineyard extends over 27 hectares, spread between Sablet, Gigondas and Vacqueyras. Among grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, the wine estate has at its disposal a very diverse range of other grape varieties of the region. The cultivated soils, generally rich in clay and limestone among others, also allow us to produce a unique beverage, rigorously controlled to ensure quality.
