The origin of this cheese dates back to the 20th century when Auvergne inhabitants lacked Saint-Nectaire. Some producers and ripeners decided to use the volcanic tuff caves in the basements of the old town of Clermont-Ferrand to ripen a quite unique tome: the Savaron. Discover a cheese with gentle rustic flavors that subtly blend with fruity and buttery aromas, coupled with a soft and melting texture.
