Saint-Joseph Cuvée COTE DIANE Millésime 2020 (white)
Our vineyard of white Saint-Joseph covers a surface of 29 hectares, planted on slopes in the Northern Rhône Valley. The exposure is south-southeast. Soils are mainly composed of loess and crumbly granite. Yields hardly reach 40 hectolitres per hectare. The harvests are hand-picked in mid-September. In the cellar : The grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press after a short period of skin contact. Natural must clarification of the juice before vinification in stainless steel vats below 20°C. Transfer to oak barrels when alcoholic fermentation begins. Malolactic fermentation usually carried out in oak barrels for more complexity. Ageing for about 9 months. Soft fining. Filtration before bottling. Tasting : The clear, brilliant, light yellow colour leaves no doubt that this is an harmonious wine. Close your eyes and awaken your senses with its complexity that exhales white pear, grilled notes. The oak barrel ageing completes this outstanding balance with touches of vanilla. On the palate Côte Diane meets up to the expectations of its aromas, it has a round and supple attack with an integrated wood flavour. A surprising and balance wine that will tickle your taste buds and match poultry, fish and cheese dishes. Can be kept 4 years. If you are not patient you can enjoy it now.
