Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2018
This bottle testifies to the expression of the Grand Cru Sommerberg with the sole influence of the Alsatian microclimate.
Vineyard on slopes inclined at 45°, overlooking the town of Niedermorschwihr. Granitic soil exposed south, south-east composed of granite with two micas. This wine comes from the association of two plots: the “Herrenberg” planted in 1979 and the “Schorr” planted in 1989.
Following a manual harvest, the juices ferment naturally under the impulse of indigenous yeasts. Aging on lees takes place for nearly a year in hundred-year-old oak casks, followed by aging in the bottle before selling.
