Relax Isotonic moisturises naturally. It is designed to be in contact with all parts of the body (face, body, hair, nails) and all external mucous membranes (oral and nasal mucous membranes and even external genitalia). It is appreciated by everyone at every stage of life. 

From babies with red bottoms, to teenagers to relieve acne outbreaks, to adults for all kinds of problems or simply for moisturising. It's also perfect for pregnant women, as it contains no toxic agents (preservatives, fragrances) for regular application as a face or body treatment. 

The isotonicity of seawater, the main ingredient in this treatment, naturally moisturises, protects and regulates homeostasis.

Why is Relax Isotonic so effective on our skin? 

The surface layer of human skin contains only 10% saline water at 9 0/00. Because of this low water saturation, the epidermis behaves like a real sponge. On contact with it, the oceanic minerals and trace elements in the isotonic seawater present in the treatment penetrate. This seawater is therefore bio-available. 

Human skin is made up of three layers, from the most superficial to the deepest: the epidermis, the dermis and the hypodermis. In these tissues there is a galvanic current field to which the ionic composition of isotonic seawater is sensitive. On the surface, the epidermis quickly draws in and absorbs the ocean minerals released from the emulsion during the effleurage treatment. These minerals are then transported to the hypodermis where they come into contact with the blood capillaries to be diffused into the body tissues.

Finally, let's take a look at the quality of the isotonic seawater used in our Relax Isotonic treatment. 

Once collected, natural seawater undergoes one or more stages of pre-filtration followed by microfiltration at 0.22µ. 

This microfiltration is a world-renowned process used to obtain drinkable quality products. Biocean then carries out a thermal process without boiling to respect and maintain the mineral quality of the seawater. This specific sterilisation is a complex process which requires a great deal of attention and monitoring (several parameters are taken into account). Sterilisation is carried out to destroy or halt the development of the bacteria present, to ensure that the quality of the finished product is preserved. It also helps to fix the level of endotoxins in the finished product. 

Endotoxins are toxins released in small quantities during cell division and in particular during the dissolution and destruction of the cell membranes of pathogenic or non-pathogenic bacteria.
