Pommeau de Normandie AOC Norman aperitive - Michel Bréavoine
Our Pommeau de Normandie, a traditional Norman aperitif, is
a blend of 30% Calvados and 70% fresh apple must (must
= juice from the press).
To obtain the “Pommeau de Normandie” appellation,
pommeau must be aged for at least 14 months in oak barrels...
We mature ours for 18 months so that its flavors and aromas
can develop to the full.
It will make a highly appreciated aperitif, revealing a complex
aromatic palette. It will sublimate foie gras, and go beautifully
with melon, apple pie or chocolate desserts. In the kitchen,
it can be used in sauces for meat and fish, as a syrup or
dressing, or to flavor a fruit salad or custard.
Gourmets will appreciate Pommeau de Normandie in cocktails, in long, refreshing and exciting drinks.
