The colour is a garnet red, with excellent depth. The nose opens with powerful, complex aromas of forest fruit (some fresh, but predominantly preserved), leading into black liquorice and a touch of leather for elegance at the finish. The palate is smooth and velvety to begin, but preserves the typical freshness of northern wines. The complex preserved and cooked red berry aromas continue, and the perfectly balanced structure showcases the excellent tannins, which offer the right combination of density and generosity.
