Pique-Nique en Famille AOP Bordeaux Red 2021

We have imagined the "Pique-Nique en Famille" series; a unique blend of Bordeaux wines, bottled with 3 different playful and jubilant labels. This lively packaging rejuvenated the image of Bordeaux wines and portrays the best way to enjoy this fruit-driven wine, with family or friends at a picnic. In a single case of wine, we can print a combination of 3 different labels. Pique-Nique en Famille Red 2021 is a blend of the typical grapes varieties from the Bordeaux area: 73% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. Grapes are selected from the best vines of the family property: clusters are meticulously picked, destemmed on the plot and then crushed when they arrive at the winery. Each grape variety is vinified separately. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to optimize the extraction of color, fruit aromas and tannins. For this cuvée, wines have aged for a minimum of 6 months in stainless-steel tanks, with no oak contact at all, to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The final blend results in a festive and fruity red wine, with a great balance between acidity and fruit. As for the tasting notes, this wine has a brilliant pomegranate red color; the nose is elegant, it exhales a combination of different red fruits aromas, in a subtle harmony; the palate is round and supple, with a strong fruit presence and creamy finish, giving the wine a great drinkability. This red wine will be the ideal companion for picnics with family and friends, to pair with grilled meats, vegetarian pies, mixed salads, different types of cheese, or cherry cake pudding.
