Saturday evening, the sun is setting, a gentlebreeze caresses our face. Smaller than a village, aplace, Palisson. Three buildings in the heart of an ocean of vines. A few steps and we are in a whisky cellar. We explore, smell, a nip, we taste. Times stands still... A SINGLE MALT FROM FRANCE ! Palisson Whisky is 100% French. Made from a French mash using the double distillation method, the eau-de-vie is then aged in Palisson's cellar. For this second batch, the cellar master has chosen to mature Palisson in Caribbean rum casks, allowing this whisky to distinguish itself notes with notes of caramelized bananas and vanilla, subtly combining with quintessential cereal notes. Sight: golden appearance. Nose: round, supple and fragrant nose. Aromas of toffee and caramelized bananas. Subtle notes of pear. Vanilla and buttery notes (crêpes, cannelés, etc.) Palate: silky and round mouthfeel. The flavors of cereals blend nicely with caramelized and vanilla notes. Beautiful aromatic balance. Good length.
