Olivier Ravoire Côtes du Rhône - White - 2021
By naming this range in honour of the epic of Capitan Ravoire – a valiant knight in the 16th century in the Comtat Venaissin in 1593 - Olivier Ravoire was keen to highlight the history of the Ravoire family. In this respect, the different appellations have been named using terms associated with chivalry.
Banderet, the name of our Côtes-du-Rhône vintage, is associated with the knight bannerets
in the Ravoire family for several generations.
The vintage is the result of a meticulous blend of grapes from the best plots in the appellation. This wine was created to offer a rich tasting experience to share and discover.
• Varietals: 30% Grenache, 30% Viognier, 20% Clairette, 20% Roussanne
• Nature of the soils: Stony, clay-limestone.
• Winemaking: The grapes are hand-picked, treaded then stemmed. This is followed by cold prefermentation maceration, then pneumatic pressing. Vinification at low temperature.
• Maturing: The blend is placed in steel vats to mature on fine dregs for three months.
• Residual sugar per litre: < 3 grams / liter.
• Tasting notes: Translucent yellow colour with golden hues. Jammy nose, charming with aromas of citrus
and acacia flowers. Fine and ample mouthfeel; full-bodied offering a broad aromatic
expression.
• Ideal serving temperature: from 10°C to 12°C.
