Nuits St Georges Vieilles Vignes
Nuits saint Georges wine gets its name from its patron Saint Georges. The Confrerie des Chevaliers Du tastevin (wine brotherhood) was founded there in 1934.
The vines: 100 % Pinot Noir
Traditional culture and aging. Aging for 18 months in oak barrels. (25% new oak)
Nuits saint Georges can be when young somehow austere. When wines are old enough, they express the best of the terroir. Our 2006 is perfectly mature now, with nice strawberry flavours and some tobacco notes.
Best served between 15 to 16° C. over rib steak, duck, lamb and strong cheeses of course
