In 2008, after more than 15 years spent rehabilitating the vineyard bequeathed to him by his father, Robert Joyeux bottled his very first wine, the cuvee N° 1. Convinced of the quality of the terroir that he had inherited and its potential for producing excellent wines, and flying in the face of popular opinion about Corbières wines, he chose to make an exceptional cuvee for laying down as his first wine.
