Morey St Denis 1er Cru les Monts Luisants 2015
Domaine was set up in 1960 through the efforts of Bernard Dufouleur. Today his son, Jean Marc is at the head of the domaine.
Domaine spreads over 3.4 hectares all Pinot noir, all land located in Morey st Denis.
All vines are exposed East on the hill.
Vines are old as planted in 1950.
Traditional work in the fields with short cut, ploughing.
Domaine has never had to do green harvest due to cut.
Controlled treatments: respect of nature, no chemical treatments or fertilizes.
Hand harvest with severe sorting out of grapes, in the fields.
Yields are amongst the smallest in Morey st Denis with average 38 hectolitres per hectare.
After picking, grapes are put into small aerated baskets, covered with cloth to avoid rain or sun.
Crop is taken right after picking to the cuverie, carried in very small trucks to avoid delays in the field.
Whole bunches. Very little racking. All extractions are done with soft footings. Soft press also.
Ageing only in French oak barrels.
Bottling by the estate without fining, without filtration.
