Color: mahogany with green hints. Nose: a subtle balance of gentle oak and baked apple with prunes and gooseberry. Clove and nutmeg spice develop alongside liquorice, blackcurrant and blueberries. Palate: there is a lovely tension to the vast spectrum of flavours, with cocoa, mango, lilacs and violet. Its maturity is marked by hints of leather and incense. Finish: long and smooth with a refined balance of fruit and spice. Apple peel becomes apple tarte tatin alongside oak, almond and bitter orange.
