Millésime de l'Abbaye 2008
The vintage of the Abbey 2008 is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. This blend is a selection of our plots located in the heart of the Grande Montagne de Reims; a terroir classified 1er Cru. On the nose, this wine is warm and intense, with aromas of dried and stone fruits. Then, it comes alive with generous aromas of brioche and sweet almond. A silky Champagne in mouth. A nice freshness envelops the palate, it is very representative of the 2008 harvest in Champagne. The aromas develop then on a power of pulpy fruits, iodized note, honey, and toast. The 2008 vintage is an unclassifiable Champagne, truly unique in its fruity precision and marine offering. This Champagne can be appreciated with refined dishes such as salmon “papillote” or "Turbo". This food and Champagne pairing will reveal the generous aromas of our 2008 vintage.
