Hand harvested from September 11 to 22, 2020

Blend : 60% Negrette, 30% Syrah, 10% Malbec

Devès, our emblematic wine, comes from a plot of 7 hectares of old vines (35 to 50 years old) facing north on one side, inclined towards the south on the other. The soil, consisting of gravel at the top of the hillside, becomes more silty in the slope, until it becomes dominated by clay at the base. This variation of soils and their textures gives all the complexity of Devès. 

Winemaking:

Hand harvesting, destemmed and strided.

Vinification in concrete vats.  Maceration of 6 weeks.

Tasting:

Rich and complex nose on ripe red and black fruits.

Gourmet and spicy mouth with violet accents. Silky tannins.

Keeping: 5 to 10 years 

Alcohol: 14% vol.
