IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Cuvée MONSIEUR SYRAH Millésime 2021

With more than a millennium of history, the Northern Rhône Valley is known as the birthplace of the Syrah grape. Our Syrah IGP Collines Rhodaniennes represents the know-how of Cave Saint Desirat, as we produce great and authentic 100% Syrah wines. The vines are planted at the bottom and the top of the granitic hillsides, south-southeast facing. Yields around 65 hectoliters per hectare. 100% hand-picked mid-September. In the cellar : 100% destemmed. Traditional vine-making with pumping-over for 10 days in cooling system stainless steel vats, between 21 and 23°C to preserve freshness and fruit aromas. Aged 6 months minimum in tank, no barrel ageing. No fining. Tangential filtration before bottling. Tasting : Brilliant red ruby colour. Aromas of spices and red fruits - a real Syrah from the Rhône Valley. A lively structure that perfectly integrates the softness of the tannins and the strength of the wine. The white peppery touch finish completes this harmony. Best drunk young. To open around 14°C (57°F) A very pleasant wine for every day. Recommended with all kind of meats and cheeses.
