HECLA Sauvignon IGP Atlantique 2022

HECLA Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc, typical white grape variety in the Bordeaux & Lot-et-Garonne areas. For this cuvée, grapes were selected from the best vines of the family Estate. The clusters are meticulously harvested by night to benefit from cooler temperatures, optimizing the quality of the juices. A delicate pneumatic pressing is completed as soon as the grapes arrive at the winery: it allows the extraction of maximum freshness and fruit aromas in the musts. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the freshness and the citrus aromas, typical of Sauvignon Blanc. The final blend results in a fresh and crisp wine, with subtle acidity and fruit profile. As for the tasting notes, this wine has a brilliant lemon-yellow color, with green reflections; the nose reveals an intense exotic expression, with flavors of pomelo and grapefruit, combined with floral and mineral notes; the mouth is fresh and lively, with notes of fruit drop and intense aromas of citrus fruits, especially lemons and lychees. We recommend pairing this white wine with smoked salmon, shellfish, tuna tartare, pork tenderloin, sheep milk cheese or caramel-based desserts.
