French Tennis Federation’s new national padel training center in Vichy

French Tennis Federation to Open National Padel Training Center

October 29th 2024

The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has announced the establishment of a new national training center for padel in Vichy. Set to open in September 2025 at the Sporting Club de Vichy, this center aims to become the premier hub for high-level padel training in France.

A Premier Training Facility for Padel

The new facility will feature 12 padel courts, including six indoor courts, and will serve as a training ground for young talents aged 12 to 18, as well as high-level coaches and the French national team. The FFT's goal is to enhance training and access to high-level padel, aiming to make it a major sport in France.

Vichy’s Role in French Sports Development

This initiative is part of Vichy’s ongoing efforts to become a key location for French sports, following its role in hosting international delegations during the Paris 2024 Olympics. The choice of Vichy was influenced by its existing sports facilities and proximity to a recently renovated CREPS (Centre de Ressources, d'Expertise et de Performance Sportive).
