Fournier Père et Fils AOP Sancerre 'Clos du Roc'

The Clos du Roc single vineyard stems from the famous and ancient Saint-Satur Abbaye circa 1450. Located on a steep south facing flinty-clay hill, it is one of the most beautiful parcels of the Sancerre appellation. The vines get the maximum sunlight and grow sheltered from the cold winds, protected by the forest ‘Bois de Charne' located on top of the vineyard. Our Clos du Roc is the essence of Silex terroir with its rich citrus notes on the nose and its intense, dense, long palate and powerful mineral finish.
