Château Puy de Boissac - Puisseguin Saint Emilion 2022 - Organic

Château Puy de Boissac is a 6ha estate located in Puisseguin on the edge of the forest. lt belongs to Julie&Antoine, a young, passionate and dedicated couple of winemakers and farmers. Helped off the starting blocks by Terrede Liens, a non-profit, they have been able to push forward their environmentally friendly approach right from the very fîrst vintage and to begin a transition to organic farming. The "calcaire affleurant" soil, which, roughly translated means to be composed of a limestone surface, reflects the uniqueness of this terroir. This cuvée is atribute to these pierres blanches (whitestones). SOIL: Limestone surface soil (excellent for wine ageing capacity). Vines are approximately 40 years old. WINE MAKING: Single vineyard wine with either manual or mechanical harvesting (depending on the plot). Traditional winemaking with temperature control. The wine is aged in vats for 10 months. TASTING NOTE: Of a deep and pretty purple, this wine first reveals a floral nose of violets. Then, with aeration, it develops intense black fruit aromas with subtly spicy notes. On the palate, the mouthfeel is full and ample whose aromas and aftertaste gently linger.
