Domaine du Clos du Roc is one of the most historic domaines of Sancerre, formerly owned by the Saint-Satur Abbey, founded in 1450 by the Augustinian monks. Clos du Roc's vineyards are spread on the most beautiful soils of 'Silex(flint)' including some of the most sought-after parcels in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. In Pouilly-Fumé appellation, we are able to make the ultimate Sauvignon Blanc in complexity, expressing all its freshness and its inimitable "gunflint" aroma typical of the exceptional Pouilly terroirs.
