CUVÉE 90 - ERIC PIGNARD

Cuvée 90

Our 90-year-old vines are cultivated with care and harvested by hand in order to produce a full-bodied and spicy cuvée.

Cultivation : This cuvée is made with Gamay grape variety. The vines are pruned in goblet and planted in high density (8,000 to 10,000 vines per ha). The treatments are limited as much as possible, depending on the weather.

Vinification and Maturing : The grapes are harvested by hand. Maceration for about 10 days with fermentation in traditional concrete vats. Maturing 80% in concrete vats and 20% in oak barrels. Blending before bottling.

Soil : Old stony deposits of piedmonts.

Style : Nose showing aromas of fresh dark berries and vanilla. Full-bodied, spicy mouthfeel with notes of dark berries.

Food and wine pairings : Red meats, grilled meats, charcuterie.

Useful notes : Serve at 14-16 °C (57-61 °F) - May be kept for up to 5-7 years.

Prize : Vintage 2019 → bronze medal (Concours Général Agricole Paris)
