Château Tour des Termes 2012
The Château takes its name from an old tower located on a plot known as Les Terms. The origin of the tower dates back to the Roman remains where a mooring boat from this period which suggests the presence of an old lighthouse at this location and marking the entry of a preliminary port of the ancient Roman city BRION located a few kilometers away. The name Les Terms means the end of the land. However the Château Tour des Termes is primarily the story of an old family Médoc gradually over generations that has been this area. From 1678, some old parchments mention the family ANNEY, farmers from the town of POTENSAC in the Medoc. In 1876, the youngest grandson became a grower in Saint-Estephe and from generation to generation the vineyard grew until 1938, where Pierre ANNEY acquired the Château. In 1979, his son John and his little son Christophe continue the family tradition by developing the vineyard.
