Château Ouvrard
This 57-hectare "Bordeaux Supérieur" Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée property is located in the communes of Saint-Ferme, known for its 14th-century abbey, and Rimons.
This commune is at the heart of the appellation which represents more than half of the Gironde vineyard, the largest producer of fine wines in the world. It is located at the end of the Entre-deux-Mers region on high plateaus carved by the valleys of the streams: the Doulens, the Gouraude, the Gageante and the Lane.
Created in 1960 under the name of Château Ouvrard, the majority of the vineyard was replanted in the 1990s.
This restructuring allowed the winery to be equipped with a 19,800 hectoliter temperature-controlled vat room and to create a barrel cellar.
The wines of the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation are a selection of Bordeaux wines.
Subject to stricter conditions of production and elaboration than the latter, they present the characteristics of high quality wines, suitable for aging.
Bordeaux Supérieurs are complete wines, with a wide range of aromas and flavors that will appeal to all wine lovers.
