Château Lagrange
The domain of Lagrange, planted with vine since the beginning of the 19th century, has been producing for almost two centuries a wine whose quality has been recognized by the prestigious guide Féret, from the very first editions of 1850. Property of Mr de Subercazeaux (by elsewhere master of the Château les Eyquems in Tauriac), who had it from his mother, the domain was sold to Adolphe Sicard in 1908. It is he who built the house in 1928, and who developed the notoriety of the vineyard, before to pass on the torch to his grandson. In 2020, after a long rental period during which the wine was sold under another name, Alexandre and Laurence Laffont bought the domain: the “Château Lagrange” was reborn.
Our Wines:
Whatever the vintage, Château Lagrange is an accessible, friendly, easy-to-drink wine, with its fruity aromas, subtle tannins and balanced structure.
2018:
A ruby-red wine with an expressive nose offering a palette of ripe red and black fruits. Its felted tannins, its full and balanced mouth will delight you from now on.
2019:
A bright, burgundy color with purple reflections. A deep nose, with aromas of wild strawberries, to which are joined floral notes and a spicy touch. This wine with a greedy, fruity palate can be enjoyed today with its fresh aromas, and its young tannins will flourish with a few years of aging.
