Château Haut L'Abeille rouge
Chateau Haut L'Abeille red Bordeaux is produced from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc (35-year-old vines) grown on a clay and limestone plateau. Plots are vinified separately after sorting of the berries, alcoholic fermentation is carried out at 28°C followed by a 3-week vatting and malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 2-year-old French oak barrels used for our Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and Lalande-de-Pomerol wines. (40'000 bottles produced). Consultant oenologist : Jean-Philippe Fort (from Michel Rolland's team). Tasting notes : bright ruby colour, ripe fruit aromas on the nose, velvety and full in the mouth with round and silky tannins and a nice balance. Our best-seller, several times awarded
