Château Bouscaut 2015
Château Bouscaut, owned by the Lucien Lurton family for 43 years, is managed by Sophie Lurton and husband Laurent Cogombles as well as son Armand Cogombles. Here the wines reflect a great terroir of clay on limestone. Cru Classé de Graves for both red and white, Bouscaut is not a standard. The vineyard area consists of 47 hectares, 40 of which are planted with the grape varieties 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. The remaining 7 hectares are cultivated with equal amounts of the white varieties Sémillon and Sauvignon blanc. Château Bouscaut 2015, with its hint of Malbec (6%) and its rich, warm nose, is extremely delicate. Juicy, dark, intense, between blackcurrant, redcurrant and sweet spice, the tannin structure is refined and long, the fruit in tact and a velvety finish.
