Terroir and Vinification

Beside out Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" we also produce our outstanding Chassagne-Montrachet La Platière on a chalk and clay soil. Sustainable agriculture with plowing of the vineyard and thinning out of the leaves. 

Manual harvest. Usage of a sorting table, destemming and fermentation in stainless steel thermoregulated vats.

Ageing in oak barrels (50% new, 50% used) for 10 months.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: bright ruby color 

Nose: blackcurrant and undergrowth aromas. 

Palate: round and very elegant with its silky tannins. 

Wine and Food Pairing

Ideal with grilled meat, pork “filet mignon”, mature cheeses 

Service temperature : 15 to 17°C (59 to 63°F)

5-7 years
