On the southern side of a massif that separates the Aygues and Ouvèze valleys, the appellation covers the single commune of Cairanne in northwestern Vaucluse. In 2016, Cairanne was officially elevated to Côtes du Rhône Cru status. This cuvée is made from organic grapes.
