Arthur Metz Grand Terroir de Schiste Schieferberg,This gastronomic crémant draws its minerality from the heart of the blue schist stone. The ground on which this crémant is located is a veritable mine of blue gold. In this location, we are working with soil which is 500 million years old. The Blue Schist comes from the compression of the clay at low temperature. This results in hard, foliated stone at its leading edge but more friable stone towards the horizon. This terroir is unique in Alsace. Grape varieties : Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling. Nose : Very delicate floral nose with notes of white-fleshed fruit and bergamot.Palate : Mouth clean and fine, lovely fullness on the attack,finishing on a saline touch sustaining notes of apricot and mirabelle plum for a balance with a perfect structure between acidity and creaminess. Recommendations : With its unique style, our Crémant Grand Terroir Schieferberg will be a sparkling addition to your table to accompany gourmet dishes such as plancha-grilled redmullet with a drizzle of yuzu, served with a sun-dried tomato risotto.
