AOP Sancerre 'Caillottes' 2018
"Caillottes" means 'small stones' in French. This cuvée is named after a specific type of soil with calcareous gravel stones covering the vineyards. This soil comes from the Upper Oxfordian era (145-150M B.C) and it contributes to the good maturity of grapes by well retaning the heat.
Caillottes cuvée is an intense aromatic wine, already very pleasing at their younger age, full of stone fruits, floral notes with subtle yet refreshing acitidiy.
