Who are we

Located in the heart of an ancient Roman oppidum, Château de Gaure, a 17th-century estate just a few kilometers south of Carcassonne, produces biodynamically certified wines from the mid-altitude vineyards of Limoux for whites (Chardonnay, Chenin) and fine bubbles, and from the best terroirs of Roussillon for reds (Syrah, Grenache, Carignan). At the helm is Pierre Fabre, an artist-winemaker, who enhances the surrounding terroir without ever distorting it. Coming from a winemaking family, Pierre is committed to preserving life and ensuring its flourishing by taking only what is essential. Château de Gaure offers a clear, coherent, and approachable range of wines. The white wines and bubbles express the terroir of Limoux, creating wines that are vibrant, fresh, and finely crafted. The distinctive character of Gaure wines also comes from the plots near Tautavel, in the Languedoc appellation. The schist and stony soils lend the red wines remarkable richness, freshness, and elegance.
