Who are we

Iconic and family owned, Joseph Mellot Winery has been rooted in Sancerre since 1513. From its founder Pierre Etienne to Cesar, the Mellot family made a name for itself and is now internationally renowned. Catherine Corbeau Mellot, managing the Winery since 2005 and now joined by her two sons, Adrien and Armand, continues the work of her husband Alexandre and their ancestors with passion and talent. The vineyards are entirely managed sustainably (HEV-certified) with a part labeled organic. An ambassador of the Centre Loire and its 8 AOPs, Joseph Mellot Portfolio includes world-famous Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, especially renowned for their remarkable Sauvignon Blanc terroirs (marls called Terres Blanches, limestone-Caillottes and flintstone-Silex).
