LA VICOMTE
Who are we
Pioneers of a social economy focused on the future, Vignerons de la Vicomté combine tradition and modernity with experience and know-how. The Vignerons de la Vicomté Union, created 40 years ago, brings together the vine growers from 45 villages and cultivates nearly 8000 hectares in Languedoc. A team of energetic oenologists assist them from the planting of the vines to the bottling through the vinification of the wine in the 4 cellars of the Union. Every year, the Vignerons de la Vicomté produce 500,000 hl of quality wine. The Vignerons de la Vicomté are the first producers of this appellation created in 1975 and work tirelessly to the notoriety of this PGI, highlighting the diversity, richness and quality of their wines. The Union shows a real flexibility in the wines offered thanks in particular to a large production area: wines that are both young and modern, thus responding to new trends in the market but also more structured wines representative of the terroir. Thanks to state-of-the-art infrastructures and ancestral know-how, the Union is today able to offer a varied offer meeting the needs of all consumers. Today, La Vicomté's ambition is such that nearly 10 million bottles are bottled each year, and then sold in France and in the main export markets of the planet (Asia, Eastern and Western Europe, North America, etc.). ). Export accounts for 95% of sales. The Vicomté is made up of a young team combining its creativity and responsiveness to winemaking know-how to offer each client a tailor-made offer. In 2008, the Winegrowers inaugurated a new bottling center, equipped with the most efficient equipment, to ensure optimal packaging that meets quality, hygiene and safety standards. In 2015, the Vignerons de la Vicomté set up a state-of-the-art winery to monitor the quality of their wine.
